About the Author

Jeff is a writer and author whose work explores the intersections of race, policy, culture, and history. The Black Belt of Virginia: Untold Stories of African American History, is his debut nonfiction book published by The History Press.

His articles have appeared in USA Today, Washington Post, Baltimore Sun, Richmond Times-Dispatch, Virginian-Pilot, Cardinal News, Danville Register & Bee, and The Hellfighter Magazine. Jeff received a Bachelor of Arts in English from Virginia Military Institute and a Master of Business Administration from Texas A&M University-Commerce.
